i thought it might be useful to start a separate thread for each race as we often do at the other big meetings. Mods please feel free to add this to the main BC thread if you think onee thread is better.

Anyway I am intreagued by Lethal Heat in the Ladies Classic. This horse was beaten one and a half lengths by zenyatta in a gradde one over a mile last time. If zenyatta ran here she would be odds on but you can get 20-1 + for a horse beaten into 2nd by her. I plan to have a nice ew bet at english odds.

I have gone for Music Note in this, to be honest I didnt read the form and just picked four horses today for a yankee and some interest.

I was looking at this race this morning on the train. It's quite an open race with lots of good form coming in to the race.
Music Note looks to be the form pick and has put up some big numbers (oh god I've already started to sound american haha) with her last two wins in good races.
Her price could look big if the race goes to form. But as we know, so often they don't and Godolphin horses do have a habit of throwing in a stinker when you least expect it.
There is a bit of a doubt about her on the surface, she is a proper dirt horse and has only performed to her best on the dirt. She's run on poly once and was disappointing. Although she is out of a Sadlers Wells mare, so there is a chance that the run on poly was just a bad day at the office.

Careless Jewel is clearly the other one in the mix if she takes to the poly. Same goes for her though, her biggest win is on the dirt at Saratoga. I'm willing to put a line through her. Her pedigree is 100% dirt. I imagine she'll be fading up the straight after plodding around at the front for the first 7/8f.

Proviso seemed rejuvinated last time out on the Keeneland poly, I think she'll be the first euro horse home.

The filly that loves the Santa Anita poly is Lethal Heat, but her numbers and times are a bit below the rest of the main contenders and could be beaten by a below par effort from one of the above.

Tough race to sort out and form an opinion on, but I'm going to side with the form horse with a bit of euro blood, Music Note.

Grom,
I wouldnt really say Music Notes only try on Pro-Ride was dissapointing, she was only beaten 3 lengths by Zenyatta in this race last year, thats not the worlds worst form!

Her last two Beyers are better than the rest of the field have ever achieved (albeit on fast dirt) with only Careless Jewel anywhere near on the speed figures recently. (if the track seems to be speed favouring, Careless Jewel would be a knocking bet).

Music Note for me at the minute though...

It was disappointing in that it was below the standards she was beginning to set on the dirt in her previous runs.
Agree that her last two runs are a standard above the rest of the field, so she just has to run to form!
