I heard Man Ure are odds against, sounds like buying money to me with the likes of Hargreaves, Tevez etc

Not sure you have understood the ? every team are odds against in fact every team will be 16/1 to start which could then change possibly if there is a big avalanche of money for someone, it would be unlikely Man Utd could win it as as a rule it is generally won by a team with @ least +30 points to start with although Man Utd did well last season to come 2nd they will have some points chopped off this year or they may even be the scratch team which would be near on inpossible for them to win it.
I have not seen any of the HCP points tables yet but would be interested to see how many they give Sunderland

Apologies, i do know the handicap, did you win it with Villa last year? I cant remember who won it. I think Newcastle could be a decent shout this year, depending on what we get. I think Sunderland will be a terrible bet, have you seen there signings? Championship players at best.

Reading won it last year with Utd 2nd, Villa came in joint 3rd.
If Sunderland get 45+ then i would be interested in them because surely Roy Keane could get anoth 45 points out of them

If there is a lot of money for a particular team do they not just decrease their handicap mark instead as I have never seen a team at a different price on the handicaps than the other teams.

Although this may be different on Betfair...

I am not sure if they could decrease or increase the points as you could end up with a 1000 different tables for different punters thus creating alot of work for themselves, i can also remember when Chelsea were taken over there price went down to single figures maybe even as low as 5/1

Manchester Utd (Scratch) 15/1
Chelsea (+2) 15/1
Liverpool (+ 15/1
Arsenal (+12) 15/1
Tottenham (+1 15/1
Newcastle (+26) 15/1
Aston Villa (+2 15/1
Everton (+2 15/1
Blackburn (+34) 15/1
Bolton (+34) 15/1
Portsmouth (+34) 15/1
Sunderland (+34) 15/1
West Ham (+34) 15/1
Manchester City (+3 15/1
Middlesbrough (+42) 15/1
Reading (+42) 15/1
Birmingham (+4 15/1
Fulham (+4 15/1

Thats how ladbrokes have it priced up. On first glance I think Blackburn & Man City look decent bets.
Wigan (+4 15/1
Derby (+52) 15/1

Just back from holiday and was going to start a thread on the handicap betting until i spotted this.

A friend and i do a £1 e/w Lucky 15 on the main 4 English Leagues each season for a bit of fun. We each pick 3 teams from each league (we have our own logic for our picks) if any of our teams match then that is our joint pick for the season, if none match we then try and ridicule each other's, or defend our own, until we get down to our 4!

This season, for the first time ever, we actually agreed on some:

Premiership - We both took MAN CITY at +41 as our main choice. Both for same reason, we think Sven is a good club manager, and if they show even just a slight improvement on last season, this handicap mark will give them a right good chance. 15/1

League 1 - Agreed on MILLWALL at +10. Finished last season very well, no others stood out for either of us. 18/1

League 2 - Agreed on LINCOLN at +15. Funnily enough for the same reason - we knew sod all about the League except that they had finished in the Play-offs in something like the last 50 years, so we figured they might be up there. 18/1

Disappointingly, we only argued over the Championship. My 3 were Sheff Utd, Coventry, Blackpool, his were QPR, Sheff Wed and Southampton. Cut a long boring story short, we plumped for Coventry at +16. 18/1

When this little lot comes in, we get back £137577.08. The most we have ever had back is an each way single placed 3rd at 18/1 so follow us at your peril!

All prices were with STAN JAMES, and they were paying e/w 4 places when we stuck this on about a fortnight ago.

Cheers

LC

I really like Blackburn in the Premiership handicap, nominal improvement on last season should see them go very close.
