could be another wet week up here and i see KS is drifting in the AP market. Presumably if it comes up very soft he may not run.
If it comes up very soft who is likely to cope best. It seems to me that a lot of the horses towards the head of the betting really are good ground horses. _________________ There are two certainties in life Death and Taxes they no longer tax betting so there may be a god

looking at the entries again halcon geneladis looks a big price. A true stayer used to giving lumps of weight away. Wont mind it soft or heavy. Gave notre pere 12lbs and was beatn 7 lengths in the welsh national. They will race of levels and yet np is trading at 3-1 and hg at 25-1.
This will be my ew bet. _________________ There are two certainties in life Death and Taxes they no longer tax betting so there may be a god

The common census is that Imperial Commander doesnt stay 3M. For me it is this race that will determine that. In the King George last year he was travelling fine until suddenly switching off in common line with the stable bug of the time. In previous seasons he was not right as we all now know.
For me he could be worth chancing at an each way price. This will be his first proper go at 3M with no problems. He travels and jumps well. Has the speed to win over shorter. If he does get the trip well and Kauto doesnt fire he could well be the one to beat. NTD is in good form so i think its safe to say this horse will be ready and this race is a big target. Im sure connections will be really going for it in order to decide if they want to conintue at 3M or go back to 2M5F. This will be the test that decides. Its 50/50 for me and if he comes through his price is big imo.
At this stage I wouldn't be rushing to back Kauto Star. After Master Minded and with the ground potentially testing there could be some real value elsewhere. As mentioned earlier Halcon Generlardais could be overpriced for a place at this stage. _________________ One way to stop a runaway horse is to bet on him.
At first glance HG looked a decent e/w bet but just read this (SL) -

However, Alan King will only run Halcon Genelardais if there are just a handful of runners.
"Halcon is entered up at Haydock but he'll only go if the race cuts up to no runners," said the Barbury Castle trainer.
"If there are four or five, I'll probably send him there, otherwise we will wait a week and go for the Hennessy."
So is he saying HG will run if there's not much there to beat? Doesn't seem especially positive!! Or is he saying HG doesn't like big fields?
I have a bit of a soft spot for Halcon Genelardais since seeing him at Wetherby - He made sure I could afford a taxi back to York!
A nightmare name to shout home though! _________________ Cocktails may not be the answer.... but they help you forget the question Vodka... Cheaper than B otox and paralyses more muscles!

He's saying he knows that the horse has no chance but if there's a small field they'll turn up to try and nab some prize money. _________________ This is like a flashback,

Looking at the support Barbers Shop has recieved for the Henessey over the past couple of days(especially today) I guess Henderson must have said he is not going to run in this race _________________ Forest are Treemendous

Fairly depressing Saturday ahead then - C'mon the sun! _________________ Cocktails may not be the answer.... but they help you forget the question Vodka... Cheaper than B otox and paralyses more muscles!

It isn't every weekend we see Kauto Star running.
