Not long now ,all starts Sat 8th Aug 09,apologies Friday we have Middlesbrough v Sheff Utd on Sky Sports 1 kick off 8pm.
Who do you think will win the championship ,who wil be promoted ,who will be relegated.
Also if you are a supporter of a team in this division ,how do you feel your team will fare in 2009/10?

Hard not to be biased but 6/1 e/w on the baggies seems a pretty decent bet, can't see us coming outside the top 3 - looks like the bulk of last year's squad will still be here for the season and that should be good enough for top 2 I'd think.

I agree, think 6/1 e/w about West Brom is a stonking bet, dabbled the same bet I did last year in Leicester to win the league and Fryatt to be top goalscorer singles and double. If he's 3 goals clear with 8 games to play I WILL trade out this year   .

If Cloughie has sorted the defence out with the new signings and a few months to organise things how he wants to play we should have a good season. We will score goals and have a lot of options going forward. I think the play offs  would be a good season for us. To be honest I would be happy with top 10 after the last two seasons of struggle. We do seem to have stabilised the ship though and I think we have a very good manager. Everything is in place now for the club to start progressing again.

You can rule out Boro and Newcastle imho. Boro smply havent got the pace or quality required, we havent got a hope in hell.

West Brom are worthy favourites at 6/1 but I mentioned on one of VS many other related threads a couple of weeks ago that 12/1 looks a great e/w price for Sheffield United.

I expect the top 2 to be from Sheff U, West brom and QPR. Play off places may include Derby and Ipswich.

I still havent seen the points spread for this league and am determined to pay for my season ticket by selling us in that market.

You'd love Sheffield United's special brand of kick and chase thuggery, GR.

Nice start to the seaon. Don't think we're strong enough to challenge for auto promotion but hopefully we can challenge for play offs
