Sad news as whether tolerant of his off field activities or not, when fit he is genuniely a hostile and quick bowler. He is still looking to play ODI's and 20/20 so hopefully his body isn't completely crocked yet! He retires at the end of this Ashes series. Hope his injury still allows him to play a major part.

this is a BBC understands runour not confirmed yet I believe??

He has never recovered from the excesses he put his body through after the 2005 ashes, frnaky. a lesson to all young sportsmen

will go down as one of the nearly greats imho

not in the botham/kapil dev class (for example) as an all rounder
