I think these double Masters Series do take there tole as Gasquet looked well tired against Robredo and it seems to be the same with Federer, all credit to Murray though

Kyle is right Federer wasn't at his best. Who cares it will do Murrays confidence the world of good. I just hope he sorts out his attitude problem out.

If he wins sports personality of the year i will make an official complaint. How the earth can someone with such a lack of personality win an award. He hasnt acheived anything to be honest.

I hope Roddick stuffs him today as hes one of my favourite players and hasnt been doing to well lately. Come A-Rod

Lack of personality, too right.....I have heard more informative interviews with racehorses.

Monotone, one syllable answers.....the bloke confirms everything people think about today's teens.

Oh rite Darren... Andy Murray, a 19 year old lad who has been thrust into the spotlight by the British press perhaps finds it abit difficult to cope with the attention... shows what exactly about teens in this day and age? Your a mug. This year the pass rate of A-levels rose again and I expect more university places will be occupied than ever before... so what does that say about the youth of the nation? Let me guess... exams etc are getting easier... what the , is up with people in this day an age. Why not judge Andy on what he achieves on the court. He's a fantastic talent and is the future of British tennis, yet all you tossers care about is how articulate the lad is. He probably just wants to play Tennis and go home... give the lad a break. Oh, and Kyle, how come you support Americans over an English lad...?

Let me take this piece by piece. Firstly, you need to calm down.

"Andy Murray, a 19 year old lad who has been thrust into the spotlight by the British press perhaps finds it abit difficult to cope with the attention"

Any other player of the same age from any other country, would have had a modicum of media training. The way he conducts himself in interviews can be disrespectful, and there is nothing for the public to embrace about him. Not all of today's teens are disrespectful, but that doesn't change the public perception of them being bad.

"This year the pass rate of A-levels rose again and I expect more university places will be occupied than ever before... so what does that say about the youth of the nation?"

My wife is a secondary school teacher. She says the exams ARE getting easier, and the standard of teaching is getting better. Therefore I am inclined to believe her when she says it is easier for exams to be passed than ever before. As for the uni places, degrees will mean nothing in 10 years time. I have a degree, and wish I had not bothered. It was simply a way of stalling working for 3 years, and it is not the golden key that it once was....the only way to get that elusive career is to work hard, either in uni (where most don't, from personal experience) or in a paid job.

"Why not judge Andy on what he achieves on the court. "

That's not the way the world works, in today's sport. He needs the public on-side, as well as corporate sponsors, although he will always have those middle-aged rank women who turn up at Wimbledon every year

"He probably just wants to play Tennis and go home... give the lad a break."

He's probably in for a shock then
