I was thinking maybe some of us have been in the same pubs or would like to recommend one?

The Stone Roses Bar - York
Very few tourists - excellant music (not all Stone Roses) - you could spend a hour looking at the pictures on the walls. But the bar staff might moan if you didn't buy a drink first.

Did someone on here mention the Snickleway? Love that place too. Excellant beef sarnie!

I cant recall the pub i used to go in but there was a club in York called Brummels. Old manor house type place around the back of the racecourse.

Barman ''Sorry Sir I'm going to have to ask you to leave the premises''

Me ''WHAT?''

Barman ''Your wearing an England shirt, so your barred''

Me ''Good day''

I mentioned the Snickleway, I got dragged in there when we went to York once because it was supposed to be haunted
