Its onwards and upwards with the Derby heats tonight. We have reached the last 48 and there are some intriguing clashes today.

Heat One is at 8.00 Deanridge Fury should win this easily. Evens with Betfred if anyone fancys it.

Heat Two 8.15 and the first major clash between Fear Zafonic in T/3 and Shelbourne Aston in T/2. I think if Shelbourne gets clear Fear Zafonic may have trouble passing him. These two should fill the places but I just cant get over the fact that Glenard Rocket in T/4 is 20/1 with betfred and I feel an e/w bet 1/4 the odds first two places is some value here.

Heat Three sees Love Mac run in T1 and the rail should see him win in what looks a very tricky heat.

Heat Four is the clash of the night for me. Can Farloe Reason in T/1 and Ballymac Russo in T/2 get past Bohernas Best who runs from T/5 and looks sure to lead. I cant see anything but the these three filling the places here. That said, if there is an upset the remaining three dogs are all big prices.

On to Heat Five at 9.00 Ninja Jamie looks sure to win this from T/1 and Kylegrove Top again looks overpriced in T/5

Heat Six and the inside traps should again have the call with Bandicoot Topiki coming out best. That said I wouldnt want to put anyone off of backing Toosey Blue in T/6 The 100/1 outright looks a decent E/w price still, since you can still get 1/4 the odds 1,2,3,4 places

Heat Seven sees a clash betweenGreenwell River in T/4 and Dotland Hitman in T/6 Droopys Noel in T/1 and Lenson Express in T/2 should fight out third place.

Finally in Heat Eight a clash of the outside runners Wise Thought and Windy Millar could well see Cash Dream live up to his name for you in T/1.

SELECTIONS

Ninja Jamie 9.00 and Bandicoot Topiki 9.15 11/8 and 13/8 respectively with Bet365 four points double.

8.15 Glenard Rocket One point E/w at 20/1 with Betfred 1/4 odds 1, 2 places.

OUTRIGHT
Toosey Blue....One point E/w 100/1 generally. 1/4 odds four places.

Running Total +6.09 Points

Update.....A disaster for me, with Ninja Jamie getting eliminated. He met trouble three times in running and again on the run in. The other major shock was Bohernas Best also getting eliminated. Toosey Blue likewise along with Glenard Rocket.

Take a look at the draw for the Quarter Finals, on the greyhound Forum. SIX of the first TEN in the Antepost betting meet in heat three, somethings got to give.

Running Total was +6.09 Points
Last nights loss was -8 Points
New Running Total -1.91 Points
