Just read this question on RP and really got me thinking. It's between Giants Causeway vs Tiznow in the 2000 BCC, great commentary and a real heart pounding finish. The 3 way go between High Chaparral, Falbrav and Johar in the 2003 Turf, what a race that was, and of corse Lester Piggots brilliant win on his comeback on the superfilly in 1985. 3 races for the ages, can't split them. Anybody else got any personal favourites?

Arazi because for as long as you will ever watch racing you will never see a horse win a race like he did.

Breeder's Cup Mile 1990. Fresh out of jail, Lester flying late and fast to win it on Royal Academy.

I absolutely love that race but because it was a bit before I started watching racing I'd have to go for Ghostzapper winning the 2004 Breeders Cup Classic. A very good field he was up against and he actually comes out of the stalls last but rushes to the front and is never headed, sprinting clear at the end. Great performance. Plus I had a decent wedge on which makes it even better

I actually got Royal academys 1990 race mixed up with Pebbles 1985 race in my original post, that's the one I meant, the Pebbles race was a corker as well though.

Personally I like watching a good battle and both Tiznow's classic victories were great. For a wide margin win Banks Hill was pretty impressive in the 2001 Filly & Mare turf.

My own favourite was the clash between East Goer and Sunday Silence. Dajur will always stick in my memory for jumping the shadow when looking the likely winner.

Also, I find the Wikipedia entry for Arazi quite an interesting read

Ditto on Lester's comeback to the big time. A true master at work. I backed it too at 5/1 in the morning.
