Didn't this fella used to get a pile of abuse (couldn't ride a rocking horse) - particularly on the old BBC site?

Seems he has answered a few critics this week?

I am glad you posted this Geordie. I have to hold my hands up here, as I have been very critical of him myself. I thought the ride today, and a similar one yesterday, were superb efforts. He was drawn towards the middle, held back at the start and crossed to the rail to eventually come and win. He deserves all the applause he gets for that.

He seems to be riding with confidence this year. I have not always been of the opinion that he makes good decisions at the crucial times, but this year he is winning races from positions he always used to lose from.

There used to be too many occasions when he seemed to choose the wrong option and steer his mount straight into trouble. This season, when faced with the 'which way' dilemma, he seems to be making the correct choice.

He was always good riding from the front, mind, and judging pace.

I backed R Hills for top jock at the start of the week along with R moore.  If he was on ouqba and not infiraad hed be joint top.

Cant believe how many 2nds moore has had, 6 or 7?   I've obviously watched him closely this week and he really knows how to deliver a horse at ascot, just keeps getting out done by better horses/handicapped, was chuffed to see him get the better on frankie on perfect stride today.
