Last day of the Royal metting.
Step In Time - 2.30 Johnson has two in this & both a very good chances. This one might need to improve a wee bit but could go well.
Sacred Kingdom - 3.45 I take this to come out best in the clash of the overseas stars. His Hong Kong form is way above anything else & should win.
Wokingham: Open as usual but High Standing has a very good chance with Moore on board. Nota Bene looks to be returning to some good form for his in form stable & is worth an E/W dabble. But I think Kaldoun Kingdom may surprise off his bottom weight. (Stable had a winner from out of the handicap the other day!).
I think I've found my dark horse of the meeting: Ghimaar in the 5.00. Has some fair form in Ireland & might go off at a decent price & I think he'll be overlooked in the betting! _________________ SBH Comp 2008 - Runner Up
Im not so sure about JJ Jetplane or Sacred Kingdom. Low draws have played a big part in sprints here. Last year the first five home were drawn five or lower. Last years winner, Kingsgate Native is now trained by Stoute, and having his first run of the season. He is drawn high but loves the track. That said, Im going to play about with small E/w bets on the five lowest drawn.
My best bet of the day at Ascot has to be Izaaj E/w if its still 12/1 with Hills. ladbrokes go 9/1 and Betfred 8/1 _________________ If at first you dont succeed..then skydiving isnt for you

Draw shouldnt be a factor for either JJ or Sacred being so far ahead of the others as they are. Id say its a race to leave alone or have a fun bet if your not sure rather than trying to get the front two beaten as it will be odd if they dont make the frame.
I think JJ the Jet Plane is something special, I couldn't back Sacred Kingdom as he has never travelled before and may place lay him if his price gets too short. I'm not sure what all the fuss is about this Greek horse.

I'm on High Standing in the Wokingham as well.
Sacred Kingdom travelled to Singapore the other month TGS...still east asia region but HK to singapore is a long long journey.....
JJ the Jet Plane - This is between the top two in the betting for most and I am included in this belief. He and Sacred Kingdom have very similar form but I think JJ has a bit more room for improvement based upon his rout at Windsor where has wasn't fully wound up. If this was in Hong Kong then I may be swayed towards SK but the fact JJ has been settled in Britain and has run over here once only makes me more confident he'll have something in hand over the Asian raider. I respect the British challenge but I do think its fair to say theyre not in the same league as these two.
Amerigo - This horse has been crying out for a trip for me after his eyecatching run from a poor draw in the Chester Cup. He may lack a significant change of gear but he can grind out results and has stamina in abundance. Carraciola has to be respected on his last game effort but I don't think he will be able to keep up with the younger horse at the death. Halla San is a possible danger and could spring a surprise at an each way price but I can't desert a horse who looks to have his ideal conditions today.

I probably phrased that wrong, I meant raced outside of asia. There's been a few horses like that who have come over to Europe and don't acclimatise (Deep Impact springs to mind). Sure Sacred Kingdom is rated one of the best sprinters in the world and has very good recent form and it would be no surprise if he won but JJ the Jetplane has less to prove.

You could be right. Its a valid point. This is my only concern today.
However ive been following the Hong Kong Jockey Club site news and the horse is reported by the trainer and jockey to have settled in amazingly well...is in far better shape than they would have hoped and they dont expect the travel to be a problem. They seem to think the horse really likes the climate and enviroment here. Cant always listen though ;)
Still im going against you and think of the two JJ has the more to prove. Id see him as more likely to finish unplaced than Sacred Kingdom.
Light day for me today after yesterdays entertainment.... have tipped against these in the competition so will be happy either way.
2:30 Johnston has a good record in this and Shakespearean looks his best option to me. Will be interested to see how Shamardal offspring do.. I like Emperor Claudius' profile (and draw) as an alternative.
3:05 Should be fairly cosy for Doctor Fremantle; saved for this since Chester. Much has been made of Campanologists win last year over CD and he may do the same again, but I can't believe Ryan'll give himself so much to do this time.
3:45 Tough call indeed; JJ and Sacred Kingdom are obvious picks and will keep my money dry 'til later. When folks are raving about two in the market I tend to come in for an underdog EW. Maybe Cannonball - clearly the Kings Stand was way too short but he made surprising progress at the end. Should he break well and grab the rail a place might be on the cards.
really havent had the best of luck this week!! still cannot understand ride by mosse on more wells
2-30 aerodynamic 8-1 e/w was impressed with debut and looks a nice prospect
4-25 striking spirit 33-1 e/w
4-25 osiris way 40-1 e/w
5-00 internationalbut 66-1e/w this may make me look silly but if they can get him behind horses and settled this may stay and go close
5-35 caraccoila will be very hard to beat this my bet of the meeting took the 4s
My Speed Figures show that Sacred Kingdom is the best of the overseas raiders by a fair margin, but his figures still fall a little bit short of Kingsgate Native, and if he is up to his best after 300+ days I think he'll go very close.
One I do want to mention is DIABOLICAL. I swore I'd never back another Godolphin horse after Gladiatorus cost me so dear on Tuesday.
However, watch the video of the Krisflyer again, I dont think Diabolical got the greatest trip and ran on when he got clear to finish about 3 3/4 lengths behind Sacred Kingdom. He ran a shocker in this last year but performed much better here when second to Kings Apostle in the Diadem.
He couldnt live with the monster that is Big City Man (not many can) when eyeballed in the Shaheen but he put up a decent fight nonetheless. Godolphin have had a few decent(ish) runners this week, and I've had a small EW interest at 25s.
Only other bets for me today are Aerodynamic and Meglio Ancora EW in the Chesham, both are once raced and achieved speed figures on their debuts that are comparable with the others best figures after a couple of runs.
Meglio Ancora stayed on well first time out over 6f, the second has won well at Doncaster since and I think he'll go ok.
Good Luck all

Ialysos has been overlooked in the Golden Jubilee so far, just beat Anglezark on his first run in this country. Anglezark went on to run a blinder in the King's Stand.
6f is his trip and he has never been beaten, looks a bit of value against the front two.
I'd be happy if Sacred Kingdom won though, super horse. _________________ Is ready to hibernate
emperor claudius for me in the first out of a 1000 guineas winner who won at 7f at 2 from the family of in the wings, is currently been backed so fingers crossed .
