I heard a wonderful interview with Ballesteros today on Radio 4. After 4 operations to save him from a brain tumour, and 3 or 4 months in hospital, he is now playing golf again. He has lost the sight of one eye, which he says makes judging putts and distance generally difficult. He is hoping to attend the Open at St Andrews next year.....and even play in the "honourable" round (4 holes).
What a star he is. One of the true greats. The interview brought a tear to my eye, and I'm not a golf follower.
