Andrew Strauss (captain), Alastair Cook, Ravi Bopara, Kevin Pietersen, Paul Collingwood, Matt Prior, Andrew Flintoff, Stuart Broad, Graeme Swann, Jimmy Anderson, Monty Panesar, Ian Bell, Graham Onions.

No place for Harmison.

Swann was on Five Live this morning, quite amusing (especially the song they wrote for him!).

A batting line up with Prior (likely to be) at 6 is obviously a concern.

The top of the order simply have to perform

I wonder if the pitch will turn as much as everyone has been saying. Granted, Sophia generally offers a lot of turn, but Glam have had good spinners for a long time in Rob Croft and Dean Cosker so it's been in our interests. The groundsman said he's prepared this pitch differently to how he prepares county pitches so we shall see.

I don't know about Cardiff (although I have my spies....) but there has been an awful lot of rain about today here (mid/west Wales) and the atmosphere is very humid - could be a reverse swing paradise??

Think they were scared he would get home sick playing in a foreign country, keeping him for the English tests
