He will be an England player soon, only 20 years old and he looks a great player.

Totally agree, with the way English bowlers are dropping like fly's he may even make the Ashes squad. However we really shouldn't rush these young bowlers into the full set up. It really hasn't helped Plunkett.

Another one to watch out for is Tom Smith. Plays for Lancashire, I believe.

If he's good enough he's old enough.

We shouldn't wrap our cricketers in cotton wool. The other countries -especially on the sub-continent - select them from 16 upwards whereas it has been the norm here not to pick a player until he's about 25 having had his natural ebullience worn down after years of county cricket.

Great to see he got in the 20/20 side and did well. His figures were distorted by 1 over from Afridi. He looks really good - take him to Aussie!

He looks a real prospect to me the few times I have seen him bowl. I think he looks a better option than either Plunkett or Mahmood and would definitely take him on the Ashes tour this winter

Saw him bat today for the first time.

He definitely knows which end of the bat to use(unlike some tailenders!) and his fielding looks OK as well.

With doubts over Jones, Harmison(poor record away from home) and down under conditions not really suiting Hoggard I think Broad must be a certainty.

Interestingly whilst listening to the commentary they said Broad has been to see a growth specialist(what the **** is that?)and his current 6'6" is reckoned to go to 6'9" before he stops growing!

Get him on the plane :!:

He does know how to use a bat, has had a few good scores for Leicester. I didnt realise till today he is 6,6 i knew he was tool its just cause he isnt as scrawny as Crouch.

He is a real prospect for English cricket.

Unbelievable that the England selectors have dropped Stuart Broad from the one day squad. He is one of the brightest fast bowling prospects for a number of years. On top of this crass decision they see it wise to pick a 36 year old wicket keeper as back up who has never been considered good enough for International cricket until now. Great forward thinking and an opportunity missed to have a look at a promising young keeper batsmen. I think the current selectors are losing the plot and it is definitely time to look at change within Englands senior mangement

Its crazy that they overlook him, after how poor we have bowled and batted and he can do both. Obviously he is a tailender but he can score runs and definatly take wickets.

Nixon at 36 is a completely retrograde and unnecessary step - Foster/Prior/Wallace?

Broad -
