When Jeremy Chapmans puts up his tips on Wednesday in the racing post ,you can guarantee that if he picks one of yours ,the price will go down faster than Andy Johnson did in the penalty area ,when he played for Everton.
Tiger of course should win, followed him at Hoylake when he started his round on the opening day ,he bogied the first and then never had another bogey in the next 71 holes winning easing up.
Links golf suits the Tiger but as my name is value seeker 2/1 is not for me and I will look else were.
Lee Westwood has been drawn with Tiger ,that will help me more than hinder him.He has come in to a bit of form, losing in a play off ,then just out the top5 at the Scottish open,he has to be considered.
Jim Furyk has been knocking at the door a lot lately but no one is answering ,its been a few years since he entered the winners enclosure but he is too good a player not to be in the winners circle for so long and at 35/1 is real value.
Hunter Mahon has been ultra consistant of late and is capable of shooting low in the sixties ,not known over here too much ,but feel that might change by Sunday night and expect him to be thereabouts.
[/b]Suggested bets
1pt WIN Westwood 33/1 betfair
2pts top five finish Westwood7.4 betfair
1pt ew Hunter Mahon 33s hills
1pt ew Jim Furyk 35 hills. _________________ I AM HAPPY TO JOIN WITH YOU TODAY IN WHAT WILL GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE GREATEST DEMONSTRATION FOR FREEDOM IN THE HISTORY OF OUR NATION(THE I HAVE A DREAM SPEECH,1963, MARTIN LUTHER KING)
I concur....have taken him at 129/1 on Betfair and 100's at the bookies. His stats make him a fairly solid paly here. Seems to find the fairways, and consistently scores well. A big price
Anyone doing the markets without Tiger be careful.....this is often only top 5 e/w which in effect is top 6 assuming Tiger is up there. The only way this market will work out better for your returns is if you come second to Tiger. Any other top finish and you have reduced odds and reduced placed opportunites.
Just tried to place an e/w treble on the Open markets with Hills. They refused to take the bet. Makes you wonder whether they understand their own business. My selections were:
Brian Gay - Outright
Adam Scott - 1st Round Leader
Robert Rock - Top Englishman
Neither of these selections act in a way that makes the outcome of the other selections more probable...in fact the opposite effect come into play, yet Hills don't seem to comprehend this.
I should have been given enhanced odds rather than being turned down
