My bf and I went to the Derby this year, and the weather was very hot. We didnt take any sun cream and I spent the whole day with my sunglasses on. You can guess what I looked like when we got back to the car and I took my sunglasses off...... :peur:
With great difficulty! I was at the cricket the other week and ended up with strange tan lines on my back and feet so I had to go on the sunbed to even it all out!
The day of my Graduation Ball was really hot and sunny in Liverpool. One of my mates went with her folks on the ferry across the Mersey (with the appropriate singalong). There was quite a cool breeze on the river, so she didn't feel hot and didn't take much notice of the sun beating down. That evening however, it became evident that she was really burnt all around her vest top, and she was wearing a new, expensive STRAPLESS dress to the ball. Cue tears and hysteria and lots of fake tan and assurances that it didn't look THAT bad. In all my photos of that night everyone looks really flushed and red- apart from myself, as I shun the sun in order to remain pale and interesting.
I usually wear factor 40 as I really don't like getting tanned. The only time I got caught out was in Australia; I was sat on a bench on a clifftop daydreaming- just for 10 minutes or so. I must have been leaning forward and wearing hipsters, as l got a strip of painful sunburn about an inch wide on my lower back- looked like I'd been lasered. The sun is really serious out there.
The same thing happened to one of my mates Tag and she wouldn't even go out because she was so upset. She ended up with her arms and face so burnt that she wouldn't go out for a week and then she started to peel! She looked rather stupid I must say!
A friend of mine once fell asleep in the back garden but was fully clothed and had sun cream on. Unfortunatley he left his fly undone and you can guess the rest. Lets just say the last chicken in Sainsbury's was well and truly roasted that day!!!!
