Ok so I know it's an early start for this thread but looking through the cards for tomorrow and in Ireland my eye is immediately caught by the 3:00 at Thurles. A beginners chase you may think, hmm whats the issue? Until you see the runners..

Essex
Give It Time
Venalmar
Whatuthink
Zaarito

Looking like a very very hot race!

A good card at Thurles.  In Compliance is having his first start in nearly 2 years and for new trainer Dessie Hughes today.

I liked the look of Kudu Country there, if he can improve some of his hurdling he'll be a decent juvenile.

I think Ongoodform represents great value to out battle the Godolphin hotpot in the 1-45.

Fathsta goes in to the 2-20 with 2 bad races looming over him. He carries a much more realistic weight today and is 2/3 at the track (won here last twice). Have got average odds of 9.84 and I'm very happy with that.

Weybridge Light looks interesting in the 4-00. Frank spencer is 2-2 on him, and on the polly at Great Leighs, managed to get 9/1 on him on Betfair last night (marginal reduction with a NR) and his current price is much more realistic. His trainers sent over a few winners from Ireland recently and don't think he'll of made the trip for no reason.

Hellbender winning there has wound me up a bit. Dvinsky/Ektimaal split stakes in the next. Trying to work up some extra Bc funds is proving rather difficult.

Gone each-way on Rite Of Passage in the 2.50 at Leopardstown. A bit worried about the ground, but hopeful that the Dunguib Cheltenham Bumper factor can cross the divide to the Flat (I might be hoping for too much).

It'll be very interesting to see how all these go over the chase fences. I haven't had a bet (and don't intend to) but will review. I'm particularly keen to see how Venalmar does.

It surely isnt a betting contest, I see moneys come for Give It Time but in that field I couldn't be confident about any. You would think Venalmar may be short of pace over this trip and the same could apply for Whatuthink. Still not convincing me to bet though, watching brief all the way.
