hello alansouthcoast
can anyone can tell me who the english representative is for the intertoto cup this season if any??i remenber last season it was newcastle who beat lillestrom
imo some well established teams go throu this route and play average teams at best and well worth a look in the betting markets to punting on the games
finally just to wish all the best to all the british teams in this seasons tournie whether they play via the intertoto cup or play throu the qualifiers.cheers.archie

Only just seen this Alan,
this compotition is more effected by the draw and groups teams end up in now because they can be unlucky and be drawn in groups with 4 other very decent sides it is also effected greatly when the Champions League teams join later on. If i was going to have a bet to Lay off on a team that could get through the groups and maybe drop in price enough to show a profit it would be GENK from Belgium the market has not opened up on Betfair yet but i would suspect you would get 300+ and if they got through the groups maybe drop to 66 a bit of a long shot but on the bookie that has priced them up they are a bigger price than Standard Leige from there league even though they finished above them.
Another longer priced one maybe to consider is Salzburg again with the potential to Lay off, for an outright win of a more realistic chance i would go for Athletico Madrid the Spanish have obviously done well in this and think they will be overpriced because of how ridiculously short Bayern Munich will be

I know there was a discussion on here the other day on the Intertoto Cup and i cannot find it but i would like to say that VALUR tonight @ 3.2 is a pretty good price to beat Cork, they have already started there season so will have a fitness edge and they did OK last year against Brondby who i would say are better than Cork so they have a better than 3.2 chance, could be a draw but cannot see Cork winning

yaiyam
the reason probably why bayern munich are short in price is they are a team of 11 internationals, and we spoke about how players have moved on but to be fair to them they have opened the cheque book and brought good players to the club so they cant possibly have a season like last season,i fully expect to see the germans in the semis, but like you say always intresting to see who drops out the champs league.cheers.pineapple chunks
talking of the intertoto i took your advice earlier this week about keeping my eye on price movements and there was 4 games punted on (big enough to move the price)they being
nk zagreb won
greek ethnikos won
, baku drew
and the biggest move
tobol kostanay won
cheers.pineapple chunks
i looked at valur last week and i spoke to the irish poster on the forum
above how cork would look to approach this game but my opinion is that both teams are solid at home but play poor away, but like you say i cant see cork looking to win but hoping for a draw and finish the job next week.cheers.pineapplechunks

well i was just about to come on and say llanelli had given them selves a great chance of beating fc vetra and advancing to round two when , me they concede a third in the last minute, still all to play for in the return, still think the welsh will prove to strong for the lithuanians and beat them in the 2nd leg but need a strong performance for them to reach round two, hope so always good to see british teams doing well in european tournies.cheers.pineapple chunks

Hi Pineapplechunks,
You confident on Cork winning then this Saturday? I may have a small dabble on that then, any idea of the odds on Betfair?

Cheers
