Flicking through the channels last night I came across the Jools Hollands show featuring the Spaghetti Western Orchestra, what an individualistic band, heard nothing like it before, and it is a tribute to a great series of movie themes.

This bunch are pretty odd, but they do have novelty value:

The Temple City Kazoo Orchestra

The Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain are pretty unusual (& good!) if you've ever heard or seen them.
I too enjoyed the Spaghetti Western Orchestra when I flicked onto the Jools Holland Show.

If you liked them, look up Seasick Steve who has also appeared on Jools Holland a couple of times.
He uses an old $10 repaired guitar, with only 3 strings, and an old wooden box to stamp on as a kick drum.
But boy is he a great song writer.
I'm sure he's on youtube somewhere.

Slipknot and Ramstein are both odd as anything.

I like SENOR COCONUT.

Not so much a weird band, as it is latin music, but the concept album that was released where classic Kraftwerk songs were given a latino bossanova makeover, on paper it shouldnt work, but somehow does.

Altogether now,  'We are showroom dummies, cha-cha-cha....'

Found a couple of tracks on Youtube if anybody is interested:

Makes me smile - well worth a listen

Cheers

If it's strange bands you want. They don't come much stranger than Mike Patton(of Faith No More fame) and Fantomas! I've had the privelige of seeing this lot live! A baffling experience, but a great one all the same

I don't think you'll ever get stranger than Einsturzende Neubaten:

They use hammers, pick-axes and drills for instruments. Legendary 80s band.

Why couldn't Jimmy Page solo like this?

I was going to put up their version of The Stones' Miss You, but it was a bit mainstream.

A bit too commercial for my taste.
