My selections this week:

Stewart CINK - a never in contention top 20 in The Masters, so shouldn't be too drained here and winner of this in 2004.

Jim FURYK - an unimaginative pick, but this golf course suits him much better than Augusta!

Tim CLARK - followed last year's 2nd in The Masters with a top 10 here, and another 4 rounds at Augusta (leading after 2), should see his game and fitness improve again.

Vaughan TAYLOR - hoping that a prominent showing in The Masters will give this guy the confidence to follow up a good showing here last year.

Good Luck!

I have backed Coerces Wetterich Quinney and Ramsey. Topped up with small savers on Cink and Kelly. If Quinney and Wetterich miss the cut and have a good round Saturday i will off load them.

Clark got to 4 under and then bombed with a triple bogey !!! Cink is going well and I think Vaughan Taylor came back well yesterday after being 3 over, and I may go in again as I think (hope!) he may progress up the leaderboard today.

Going into the final round, I have:

Stephen Ames 33/1
Zach Johnson 40/1

Both were backed in running with paddypower.com

Ernie had a great two first days. Imho if he gets it together he wins, Kelly has a gret chance as he sems to play for fun and always looks relaxed. Realistically i cant see anyone on lower than -9 being involved in the finish. Good luck with your bets guys.

Jerry Kelly is a great example of a form player as he seems to play well over 3 weeks and then does nothing for a while then comes back again, i am pretty sure he has not won a PGA tour event for sometime probably about 2002 althoguh i would say his best year was 2004 where he missed only a few cuts. Kevin Na was a player that i thought a few years ago was going to be really decent he had 7 top 20 finishes in 2004 & 6 top 20 finishes in 2005 but he has not really done nothing for sometime as his best finish in 2006 was a 24th so may buckle under the pressure. Ernie i would not do because he just seems to be to eratic when he gets in front and throws it away lately, my idea of the winner althoguh will not be backing him is Boo Weekly a good T2 @ the Honda Classic after losing in the play off this guy has come back on to the Tour after his first try in 2002 and seems to be a much better player and i think he can get his first victory tonight

Hi Yaiyam.... Weekley and Kelly have already had 2 top ten finishes. I have been most impressed with Weekley as he plays a steady game. Over the first 3 days he has only dropped 4 shots.

Yep Weekley is definately a better player than the one who came on tour in 2002 i am not sure how many cuts he made but he lost his card straight away and this is his first year back and he may have the advantage of posting a score rather than having the pressure of playing the last hole if leading or needing to get par he will also be playing with Els which could help

I'm really disappointed with Els - as you say Alan, a great 1st 2 days and the Els of old would have gone to win this comfortably by 4 or 5 shots, but started with a double bogey yesterday, got himself back in contention and then blew it again - just isn't the same golfer after his injury.

I would be surprised if any of the top 4 don't win this - hoping Taylor can start well as he did in round 2 so I can lay off some more.

Good Luck!

Not too sure YY

Apparently, its the first time since the British Open in '98 a PGA event has been suspended because of high winds

I must say though, I was a little surprised. I mean, I thought wind was part and parcel of golf...

I cannot understand it as they all have to play in the conditions and unless it has got really bad they should have continued because the ones who went out first had played 8 holes & why is it only in America they have the start times of these rounds so that they virtually finish as dusk looms
