It's gone a bit quiet on the greyhound front for me recently but now is as good a time as any to pick up the thread and have a look at an excellent card from Wimbledon on Sky tomorrow (Tuesday 10th Feb) night.

The last three races on the card interest me most and I will confess to being a bit out of touch - sufficiently to not be too sure which dogs are going to start favourite.  Ignorance aside I can say with certainty that there's a good bit of quality in the 9.10 over 688m.

Two sons of my old favourite Westmead Hawk start in adjacent traps - Lorrys Options in T3 and Hawks Dilemma in T4 and I slightly favour the 4 but frankly I couldn't split them without seeing them in the flesh.

In the 9.25 over 872m the Greyhound Marathon Performer and Bitch of Year Flying Winner will be berthed in T4.  Part-owned by Harry Findlay she will start an impossibly short favourite and well-deserved too owing to her fantastic record in these staying races.  The only way to go here is to find the forecast or even the tricast but I would not even attempt it.  I'll merely note that another son of the Hawk Bubbly Eagle goes in T2 having won impressively before finishing 2nd with a troubled passage LTO to Lorrys Options.

The last televised race at 9.45 is the hurdles Springbok Final.  The hot favourite here is in T1 Nebuchadnezzar but despite being available at 8/13 as I write he is equally described in the Racing Post as being friendless in the market earlier this evening!  You can either take the view that in the box seat there is little to trouble him, or as Mark Wallis who trains Bomber Bailey in T2 says on his website, you can worry that the T1 will move off to his right and cause some trouble for these inexperienced hurdlers.  The bookies are pinning their hopes on a turn-up, and this is no shoo in even at the forecast prices.  If there is trouble then one of the wides could pick up an early stress-free passage.  It's a sizeable if though.  On times the fav is the fastest dog in the race, with the T3 Love Lynx marginally second.  The early pace is likely from T4 Kilgraney Agassi who seems to break fast and then get picked up in the run in.  He is currently available at 10/1 with Skybet.  If there are shenanigans I make him the most likely to benefit having hopefully jumped and run - all that then needs to happen is to hold on and I would have no doubt his trainer Sean Cahill will have him at his peak.

So that's me then - the three last races - backing Trap 4.  Let's hope the track is running fair.  There was a meeting at Crayford a week or so ago when all the wides were winning, 6 dog after 6 dog and that at a tight track known for favouring the railers.  So if all the reds are winning - ignore me

Trap 2 looks a lot like our heroine Flying Winner but I don't think it is.
