This started at the weekend running all through the week. As an ex swimmer i like to bet as its a sport where the prices are often all over the place and completely wrong by the bookies and market.
Ill be looking to have a bet here and there and post on this thread. However most of the time a market is not up and forming until about 5/10 mins before a race so anyone who wants to follow in will be lucky to catch any of my predictions (possibly just as well ;) )
Phelps is racing in the 200M Free tonight....and you know what....he may be beaten He is a way off his own top form at the moment and there is a rising star from Germany who may MAY just be able to pip him. Its worth a bet anyway imo as you should be able to trade it in running at the very least. Im sure Phelps will be heavy odds on and this lad will be 4/1 or more second fav possibly even better than that. Lets see. Ill prob post more later as the finals start at 5pm. The British girl in the backstroke could also win tonight and should be a nice price.

Nowhere near the prices i would have expected on biederman but i guess the heat swims were enough to have the bookies scared. We got the gold in that 100m back as well
Anyways today i think Eric Shantau in the mens 200m Breastroke is a fantastic bet at just above evens...
The favourite beat the WR in the semis but received a huge tow to it thanks to his teamate pulling him along over the first 150m. Im not sure he has much more left in the tank to go any faster than that.
Shantau on the other hand i think has loads left. And he qualified second fasted in what looked a very comfortbale swim. He was still only half a second slower. He usualy swims conservatively and comes back very strong in the second half of races so dont be surprised to see him down after the first 100m. His price may even drift in running.
Either way i expect him to win well. Comfortably in fact by half a second or more and smash the WR. I think hell be the first man sub 2m07s. 2M06.50 or something would be my guess. maybe even faster
I could have read this all wrong but i was expecting 1.4 or so on him in this final and that wouldnt be so much lower that his correct price imo so i think he is a great bet.
I think hell win and the price is better than i would have thought so i think he makes a great bet today.
