It'd be a very good thing for Britain if he was to be named EU President. However, it probably wouldn't be that good for Europe as a whole which is what the EU is(obviously) all about. Therefore, i don't think he should be made EU President.

It beggers belief doesnt it what this man (and his wife) have got away with over the years. I do have some sympathy brown in the sense that blair got out just as the siht of which he played a big role in was hitting the fan.

I doubt he would be acceptable to the French and Germans, let alone to me. It was bad enough the Kinnocks getting on the gravy train.

Sarkozy is apparently behind him.
I have some very strong views on Blair and I have let them be known here on many an occasion. However, I would rather have a British EU President than a non British one.
