22nd October 2009

a couple have caught the eye in tomorrow's Carlisle card.

Songe in the beginners chase. Handy over hurdles and a decent performance in a 2m nov chase at Sandown last season, beaten by Free World (2nd to araldur in a grade2 chase at the tingle creek meeting and Gauvain (won a grade 2 nov chase and 5th in the arkle)

The Whisperer in the 3m chase. How many times does AP ride for Nicky Richards??
SkankyMinga

The Whisperer caught my eye but not because of the jockey booking as i did not think AP riding for NR was that unusual. Very lightly raced for an 8yo and could be unexposed. Just worried that NR's horses aren't running that great right now.

High Bird Humphrey looks to have a decent EW shout in the 3.15. Fairly consistent and has a bit in hand on his Chase rating.

Next to never.
glennie1970

he rode their bumper horse around a week ago

In the 15:15 at Carlisle, is there any reason why AP isn't riding Another Trump? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Could be that Jonjo wants to take 5lbs off Another Trump's back.

And maybe AP reckons Sendali has a better chance?

I considered both of them possibilities before backing Sendali

Trainer obviously a bit off putting but Doeslessthanme is supposed to be a smart horse in the making

Scavenger in the 3:20 @ Thurles is going to take some beating off his chase mark, a full stone lower than his hurdle mark which as we all know(or we should) is very unusual. Price is very short though for a 16+ hcp chase and Tooman Lane now stepped up to 3m over fences maybe a better bet TBP than Scavenger is to win

My Lord Oscar looks the most solid @ 4/1 imo

I might be wrong but on there last showing I will be really surprised if Scavenger cannot turn around the form

I guess we'll never know! Bunched finish probably means that Scaveneger wouldn't have had to be all that well treated to win though

I will give Tooman Lane another chance as he definately needs a trip and it was his first handicap chase
kickingkyle

I managed to talk my self out of backing Description at 4-1 as i wnated it ew, left the bookies to see it win at 7s.

530 Quentin Collognes i imagine will win as i have it in a double where the 1st horse was second
Gorg_George

taken the 8/1 about Kingsgate Castle here, just jumped.
Gorg_George

Another go with Thievery here @ 13/2
YAIYAM

Flamenco Prince could get back to place form and it would not surprise me if colleen D. stayed on for a place
Gorg_George

Bernabeu will be my last play of the day @ 14/1
kickingkyle

And it wins by a distance!
Gorg_George

Attainable in the 8-20 @ 10/1 for me here. Let's be having it.
Owl of Minerva

Shaded Edge tbp @ 4.5 in the 8.50
FallonFacta

Waited all day for Sham Sheer - though Cumani's not had a winner for a while

And it's clashing with MasterChef
FallonFacta

Should have watched RUK's build up not Masterchef - if I'd have seen SS come into 5/4 I wouldn't have been so worried!  Something to play with tomorrow
