Bellamy and DioufCraig Bellamy showed the form of a great striker yesterday in more ways than one.
Scoring twice in the Manchester derby ,he strikes a utd fan who ran on to the pitch to celebrate Owens winner.
Blackburns El -Hadji Diof was quizzed by police yesterday for allegedly racially abusing a white ball boy.

bellamy was then atacked tot he same extent by rio ferdinand (who by the way was terrible yesterday)
any over the top response to his actions yet?

Yes bellamy should of hit the fan harder..!! He was a threat to all of the players with two stewards holding both arms behind his back !! No need for bellamy to get involved imagine if the fan had hit a player like that he would get 5 years... crazy...!

Bellamy = particularly thick (Ferdinand also none too bright)
Diouf - bit of sympathy for him with this incident as although he is a class one c-0-c-k, it looked to me like the little weasel of a ball boy made every effort to throw the ball back to Diouf via his testicles!

Bellamy did the right thing, as Hughes said after, Brian Clough did it and was lauded a hero for it. As for Diouf, no excuses, Man Utd played last week against Tottenham and the ballboy threw the ball hard at Rio's face and Rio never reacted - should've waited til he had the ball on that side and blasted it into his slimy little face, "accidentally" of course - Diouf's incident was no-where near as provocative.

Bellamy did what most people would like to have done. But you can't lable it as the right thing to do. Did Mark Hughes have a go at his ten other players who didn't try and have a tap too as they did the wrong thing?
Correct with Diouf, however, he too is not clever enough to think of things like that!

The fan clough did it to was not being restrained by two stewards it is not the right thing to do. , if a fan had come on to the pitch last week and struck Emmanuel Adebayor he would be looking at 5 to 10 years. The fan should not have been on the pitch but it is the job of the stewards and police to deal with this not the players.!!

Bit snidy by Bellamy imho .imagine if you was out in the town and that was one of your mates ,being taken away like that by the police and someone threw a punch at him ,mind you it could have been worse ,it could have been a three iron!!!

Bellamy's a decent guy, although a lot of his family are pricks. Never misses a Wales friendly home or away without good reason, which I have massive respect for.

actually, Brian Clough was not lauded as a hero for what he did
he cuffed two lads who had run onto the pitch (amongst many) and was brought before the FA to face a charge. memory serves that he was fined.
What he then (as a master of PR) did was gt the two lads to appear with him on "On the Ball" the next stayrday lunchtime, ask them to admit that they should not have been on the pitch (they did) ask them if "their mams" knew what they had done (and they admitted that they did) and said "no hard felings but dont do it again" or similar. he then required each of them to "give us a kiss" which they did.
clough was a far more eloquent, respected and intelligent figure than bellamy and bellamy couldnt do and get away with what clough was able to. he will probably punished in the way clough was but more severely
as ever, image triumphing over fact

Most people seem to agree that all that was thrown was one meat pie.
What a lovely individual he is.

That is true.
What many people do not know is that the KKK originated in the Park End.
