always the same two teams in the final....
I think the boat race would be far more interesting if
[a] it was only first degree undergraduates taking part (ie not olympic champions from usa reading for a third phd in something) AND
[b] it became a contact sport, where you were allowed to board /barge /throw overboard your opponents and
[c] it took place in rowing boats like you get in the local park
otherwise i will be watching re-runs of mrs. minerva on TCM again

2/9 oxford best ,when first the thread opened 8/15  ,worry about cambridge no 3 failing to start suffering back spasms ,he would be a loss .Ive took oxford to win by under 3.5 lenghts 3.5 on betfair .for those withouth a betfair account ,under 2 lenghts and a oxford win at 5/2 look the value ,with billy hills

Seriously, do Cambridge do *any* training for this race? They're hopeless! They make a break to get their bend and then they're totally exhausted and they've still got half the race to go. It's like they only train for a three mile row.
