Changes to Football Forum

Any thoughts?
Machiavellian

A weekend's football type thread similar to the Daily Racing threads as well as big game threads like the Racing forum has for big races is the way to go.

No problem

You should have it like this.

Barlcays Prem 29/30th
Championship 29/30
League 1 & 2 + Non-League
Scots Prem 1st 2nd 3rd
European Football Serie A, La Liga etc...

All on there own thread.

Then the next lot of games get a new thread

England Prem 6th dec etc

If you get my drift...Would be much better IMO

Looks good to me - the decision will be made by everyone who posts on there so hopefully we'll get a few more posts on there this weekend
Dan-o

Its the way forward.

All those threads for different leagues is a bit chaotic. One thread for the weekend's football and football betting would be easily accessible and foster the conversation, analysis and informed comment that the daily Racing thread produces.
Dan-o

How is it chaotic LOL - If you want to post in the Premiership you use the premiership etc...Much neater that way also, You want one daily thread that will be filled with garbage chat like always, If you think that is best then carry on. I rarely see someone post a decent reasoning for a team to win, Normally its just....Leeds are a banker etc, All of that should be banned, Im just as guilty as I have done it in the past. '50pts fiorentina to beat lyon' A post from me, Crap post how does that help anyone? I should of put some REASONING, It goes along way and people might actually take notice.

Thats my view anyway, No doubt ill get a backlash....
Dan-o

For example, Sorry to point you out...

Carlise 1/1 with PP to beat Grays tonight... can anyone think of a reason why this isn't a serious bet to had? I also like the looks of Rochdale (H v Barnet), Darlington (A v Droylsden) and Southend -1 (H v Telford) and have had a small yankee for interest sake with them all scratch and another with them all -1 on the handicap.

Cheers
No, But why don't you tell us?

I dunno if posters are lazy...or they don't have reasoning and randomly pick...
FallonFacta

If you have to give good reasons for a bet I'd better leave now!    Not everyone does post thier reasoning and you certainly don't have to.  At the minute random picks would be great on football because surely a few random picks and a bit of conversation is better than none at all.
Dan-o

Alright then.
YAIYAM

Its a good idea having seperate posts for
premiership
Championship
League football
Scottish football
European football
Champions League
UEFA CUP

but i cannot see the point in having a new one for each weekend surely it would be better to have all these as stickys and let them just roll over every week, the football forum is not the same as the racing one so i do not think having lots of sticky's would be a problem

that looks the best way to go with but looking at the amount of replys for the weekend gone
it might be best just to have a premiership games thread
cheers archibald.

I think we're happy to go with whatever everyone who posts on there wants.
