i know we had the old roan chase last weekend but for me this is the start of the nh season.

Lots of old favouates meet some up and coming horses. I imagine that PN will run What a Friend who may start at shortish price. But he has yet to show the class of some of the others in the race but has scope to improve.

There are lots of in and out performers who if you catch right will give you a great run for your money. Ollie magern is the class of the race but is 11 and needs to show some of hhis old sparkle. After monets garden last weekend you wouldn't be suprised to see OM win but I am tempted to go with another in and out performer in David Pipe's tamerinblue. At his best he could easily win this.and I will take some 6-1.

Nicholls is unlikely to run WAF or Gwanako unless it rains, and they aren't forecast much

Tamaribleu would certainly be the one to beat imo. But it's a lightly tricky race as Ollie Magern goes so well here when fresh and I presume he won't have a penalty like last year. One who can go well at a bigger price could be Darkness who again loves to be fresh and enjoys small fields on galloping tracks. Bit to find on the figures though

current list of entries, and some of these must be doubtful. I am anticipating a smallish field

they have been watering this week, I expect there is rain there today, the wont get it softer than good though

if he runs, it looks like DEEP PURPLE for me.

Agree

E/W bet to nothing.
Death n Taxes

having got the equivalent of 6-1 on tamarinblue yesterday am i went to top up last night having had a good poker session. Its down to 7-2 available and i will now leave it until final decs. Sadly i suspect we will see no better than 4-1 from the bookies and there ew opportunities will be limited.
merrymozzer

Very poor race and any e/w bets could well be scuppered by a small field.
No bet till Sat. if at all

Glad I got some 4/1 earlier in the week. 9/4 fav now.

6-1 on a horse going off around 9-4 is quite pleasing just wish i hadn't been so greedy asking for more 6-1 when i could have had a nice slug at 5-1 with bet 365

Anyone worried by the HTD early season factor with Ollie Magern?

2 time winner of this that runs well fresh.
theGoingStick

It's a three horse race and I don't like any of them

I've had a quid on Church Island, just cos I usually follow him. Poor race though.

Me too, can't decide between top 3 in betting so go for the outsider!

Yeah, Ollie being hammered. Traded out for my stake on Tamrin.
theGoingStick

I've just taken a bit of 11/2 on Deep Purple.
