I don't know whether this counts as a new thread on this forum, or should be an addition to the "Books for Christmas" threads. However....
I picked up (in a charity shop!) a 2007 edition (Pocket Essentials) of "Easy Money - Inside the Gambler's Mind" by David Spanier. It was first published in 1987, so some of the stuff is quite outdated. Also, it concentrates in the main on casino games. However, even with those reservations, I am finding it a fascinating read.
David Spanier was Diplomatic Correspondent for The Times, but he was also an ace poker and chess player. If you can get hold of a copy, I recommend it!

I have a copy of "All right, ok you win" by the same author. This ones about betting and "Other " things in Vegas. Well worth a read as well.

Haven't come across that one, and will look out for it! He writes very well and clearly knows his gambling stuff (I remember reading him regularly in his other incarnation....)
