It'd be a very good thing for Britain if he was to be named EU President. However, it probably wouldn't be that good for Europe as a whole which is what the EU is(obviously) all about. Therefore, i don't think he should be made EU President.

No, he's a , that messed everything up. He's not fit to be a president of a gardening club.

It beggers belief doesnt it what this man (and his wife) have got away with over the years. I do have some sympathy brown in the sense that blair got out just as the siht of which he played a big role in was hitting the fan.
To answer the question: NO.

I doubt he would be acceptable to the French and Germans, let alone to me. It was bad enough the Kinnocks getting on the gravy train.

Sarkozy is apparently behind him.
I have some very strong views on Blair and I have let them be known here on many an occasion. However, I would rather have a British EU President than a non British one.

I'd rather have one that we can vote for!

I would like to see him get a position in Europe, ideally as a defendant at the International Court of Justice.

I would have thought he'd have been behind his wife, being the rampant heterosexual he is.

To be honest i havnt really looked into what his specific role would be and power attached to it...it amazes me that nobody seems to notice or comment on in the media the direction the EU is taking from its inception to now.
Also, people dont seem to realise the UK has relatively little power on the world stage, we just like to think we have - seeing PM's taking the hardline on the news etc and rolling out quotes about the british.

Too true.
I do though which is why for starters i wish goverment would cut our defence spending and for gawds sake stop forcing our troops to disserve there country by being out in Iraq/Afghanistan. Yes i did say DISSERVE
