have you ever pretendedto have read a book or seen or film when you havent?bc online thinks its common and gives some tips http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8299281.stm have you ever done that? I did once deliberately skim read some books to chat a girl up (thomas hardy books, too) and have never seen star wars, but then i dont pretend I have ! |

At school I used to pretend I had read books contstantly, normally all I had read was the Sporting Life or Greyhound Standard. Revision time was often busy with lots of catching up to do.
I remember one exam I got 2 %. I asked the teacher why, as I hadnt answered a single question. he said, and i quote " At least you spelt your name right "

Nope. Don't blame you for not watching Star Wars! It was a book where you said you'd read it but then later on the thread admitted that you hadn't and that you were just trying to sound clever

I alwyays have done with films, a lot of them don't really interest me that my friends like so when it comes to choosing what to watch if they say 'oh that looks wicked' about something I really don't like the look of I'll just say 'Nah man, I've seen that, it's pretty crap'. If my bluff is ever called it's easy enough to get the jist of what these films are going to be about so can still potentially get out of trouble in running. Don't do it with books though, I've read all the ones I want to that I'm aware of. | ||||||||||||

I've never done that, but I have such a bad memory I've genuinely read books and watched movies and when speaking to someone who's watched the same movie or read the same book I can't remember half the scenes they mention. | ||||||||||||
