Horses running reminderCan anyone tell me if there is a site that will send me reminders of when a horse is running.
Say I list 50 horses, is there a site that will remind me when they are running.
Looking for a free service. Think I have seen one somewhere before but cannot remember where

Im sure that either Racingpost or Sportinglife do this from their web sites. I dont know if its a free service or not though.

Glennie, Sporting Life website has a "Nag Me" service, and so does Irish-Racing.com
The Sporting Life one allows 20 horses for (I think) a £2.50 subscription for a year, and you can change the horses at any time. I have used it before and found it helpful. Other providers may do a free service, but I can't recall which (try ATR and the Big Three). I think it costs a bit more if you want text messages (but not much). I find this really useful as on a race-day I am usually driving to the course and don't have email access.
Hope that helps.

The Turftrax website has a 'Notebook' with the option for email/SMS notification of declarations and results. It is free, but does require registration which is slightly cumbersome.

I use www.Turftrax.com - which is free and emails you the notification the day before and then a link to the result after the race. Think you can have as many horses in the book aswell. Most of the big sites offer this, but if you want texts to your phone you might have to be a bit more selective as jenny said

it looks like you need to have a superior membership than the basic to get this service!

gg.com do a reminder email for free - I can't remember how many hosses you can list though.

Getting the alerts on Turftrax is a bit of an effort, but it's a decent enough service.
Firstly, you need to register for the basic free membership. Once you've done that, if you type the name of the horse you want to add into the 'Search' box in the top right hand corner of the screen, you will get to the 'Quicksearch' screen. If the horse hasn't raced in the last seven days you will need to click on the 'Advanced Search' link, change the date in the 'Find A Horse' box to fit your timeframe and then type the horse's name into that search box. Once you've found the horse click on the orange + to add it to your notebook.
There is probably a more efficient way of doing it, but I don't know about it.
Hope this helps.
