The song title is how I am presently feeling about betting on horse racing on a Monday.
Yesterday ,i didnt bother ,thankyfully looking at the results.
I know October is usually not a good month to bet on the nags ,end of season .trainers and owners desperate for a win,etc

20 races ,just 3 winning favs ,8 double priced winners.
Is it just me or do other formites feel the same that backing horses on a Monday can more likely than not ,do serious damage to the contents of your wallet?

i think that depends on the way you bet. For example you tend to back short price horses and often favourates. I prefer horses 5-1 and above and our dear friend falbrav never rarely backs a horse in single figures. I had two bets yesterday both placed and returned me a small profit so a good day for me.

Elspells Boy 205 ,33/1
Lets not forget the horse which won the first at Kempton at 20/1,probably the horses name sums Mondays up ,MR PLOD.

You posted this thread a month ago saying you do not like Mondays because you get to many outsiders then today you are still complaining over the same Issue. It seems to me you have learnt nothing from your own observations.
On your own assumption would it not be better to either Lay all the fav's or back all of the outsiders rather than being to lazy or reluctant to change your own ways and Just complaining about it afterwards

Not complaining about it ,its more an observation and to put people aware of the dangers of Mondays in my opinion.
I only followed vs markets movers,he gets the odd winner or two

Just goes to show you can't please all the people all the time, having backed Mr Plod at 28 and Trenchant at 20 plus couple of shorter price winners i love Monday especially after a moderate weekend!!
