Junior Golf CompetitionMy son played in his first Junior Open Golf tournament today he has played in a few where he practices but this was his first one at another course.
In these comp's they generally only have U15, U13 & U11 so because he is only 8 he has to play in the U11's now on the course he plays on they only ever play 9 holes over 2000 yards for which he now plays off 8, today they played 10 holes which was just over 2100 yards and because it was classed as an open tournament there were no handicaps on the scoring and he managed to finish 2nd with the winner being another 8 year old who plays at the same club with my boy but he plays off 3 on there 9 hole course.
Anyway he was really chuffed as he got a medal for finishing RU and was asking when the next tournament would be and was disappointed when i told him they won,t be until next spring now

No, he layed him to the tune of 10k and he was 4 shots clear coming to the last until father YY had a word in his ear and he hit the water 3 times off the tee...
