Lucky 15'sJust a general question to everybody out there,
is there a list of what bonuses bookmakers give on there lucky 15's?
I ask because someone phoned me up the other day and said they had had one winner and 3 placed gave me the prices etc etc to work out, i just used one of the online calculators but when he went to collect he got more than i said. I think i had worked it out to double so he must have got treble and it just got me thinking which bookmakers gave what

The general rule is (with the big 4) is that if you get 1 winner you get double the odds (but not double on the place for each way lucky 15) except if you have a non runner and then normal yank and singles comes into place.
Other smaller firms give treble the odds for 1 winner and some of the big 4 do if they are close by a shop that offers treble.
All our shops are a treble.
So as long as you dont get a non runner a 5/1 winner covers the bet.

Forgot to mention as well, be wary of non runners and odds on shots in your luckys. For eg 10p Lucky 15's
5/1 and 1/3 = single @ 5/1 = 60p, single @1/3 = 13p, double @ 5/1+1/3 =80p = return of £1.53
5/1 and non runner = single @5/1 = 60p, single non runner = 10p, double @5/1and non runner = 60p = return of £1.30
5/1 winner = treble the odds = 15/1 = return of £1.60

Betfred give treble the odds for one winner. They also give good bonus`s if your selections come from certain races.

My bookie (now taken over by Ladbrokes) gives 3 times the odds, I always stick on the bottom of the slip "any nrs, 2nd co instead", that takes out the non-runner from the bet.

Is that a good thing to do as if any of the other 3 won you would get paid more with a winner, 2 or 3 winners. I know it knocks down your chance of getting 4 winners but you are much more likely to get 1 or 2 so sometimes NR's can get you extra back.
An easy example of this is if you did a £1 win Lucky 15 and you had a 7/1 winner with 3 losers your payout @ (double odds 1 winner) would be £15 however
7/1 winner with
one NR pays £17
Two NR's pays £35
Three NR's pays £71

A really simple question, if you do an each way lucky 15 is it only the sinlges in the bet that are put in the multiples or do the placed portions of the bet become multiples as well ?

The place bets are in Multiples as well because an E/W Lucky 15 is 30 bets not 15 so you actually have
8 singles
2 accum.
etc etc

Thanks for that, a lot of stake money needed for those bets

It is but even though i do not do the bet myself very often i would always say to anyone this is the best type of fun bet especially now you can get treble the odds with one winner

tGS, I agree with Yaiyam about e/w L15s - and you don't need a lot of stake money. I quite often do an e/w L15 just for fun, and with Paddy Power the minimum bet is 10p, so I can do an L15 for £3!! This gives me 4 horses to follow, and I usually manage at least to get my stake back! As I say, it is a fun bet and not to be taken seriously, so doing it to 10p is the ideal solution if you are bored and want an interest that won't break the bank!
