Marlon KingYet another player falls foul of the law and ends up in jail ( should that be gaol ) It saddens me that guys with well paid careers doing something they enjoy end up this way. All due to a mix of ego and lager, which is the really sad part about it. Why do so many stars from all walks of life go off the rails like this. Is it due to the pressure of the job, or just a reflection of life in general.

I put it down to him just being a prick! I go out all the time and have my fair share of booze but id never think of throwing a punch at girl who knocks me back, trust me theres been a fair few that have!
I cant have none of this its because he had a few beers, its because hes a low life piece of scum that he assaulted someone who didnt want to sleep with him.

I agree Kyle. I am just wondering if this is more common with celebreties than the rest of us. I have to say I dont know anyone who has hit a woman just for being knocked back.

Track record suggested bad apple before this happened, but this really will haunt him forever due to the stigma of such a dispicable act.
Ironically, him going to jail was probably a get out of jail free card for Wigan.
Interesting to see where he ends up when his done his time..... probably in about 9 months/year.

Alan. Celebrities, including footballers, are so away from the real world, that it is often difficult for them to adapt to normal rules.
My view of footballers is that if you are told you are special from an early age, are a millionaire before your 20th birthday, and you are surrounded by yes men, how exactly are you supposed to conform to normal social rules and conventions?
Guys such as King (as well as several others) are bad apples as well, which makes them even more arrogant.

He's a scumbag and went to jail because of it, nothing to do with having too much money, being in the spotlight, or his inability to cope with it. He went to jail because he was a no-good sleazy scumbag arsehole and I hope he gets raped in the showers on a daily basis by a big 30 stone queen called Sheila.
