Saturdays here again and i am a little bit disapointed. Ninja Jamie has been pulled out of the Semi-Finals of the Sunderland Classic tonight. I hope he is okay for the Irish Derby, although he has a full month to recover. Some sad news too, Westmead Diver broke a hock a few days ago. Walthamstow has run its last Bags meeting, and in a month that too will close. All in all a sad few days.

Anyhow back to todays picks, and as expected they will concentrate on the excellent card at Sunderland, although i see the track itself has had some stick for not being fair on the dogs, i have never been so i cant say. Tonight, as said, sees the semis of the William Hill Classic, and to be honest, all three heats are tight to call.

19.40 in heat one, Kryptonite trap one, takes on Me Buddy in trap four. Wiht nija Jamie being withdrawn, five is now vacant and this gives Buddy an excellent chance. Charlie Listers has had a few unexpected reverses recently so i wouldnt rush to grab the evens about kryptonite. Buddy is available at 9/4 with Betfred.

19.55 and heat two brings together, Westmead Lord, Droopys Sheehy, Toosey Blue and Droopys Carvalho. This could cut up into a rough race and Toosey Blue could be the stronger finisher here. 4/1 is available with Will Hills.

20.10 and the third and final heat. Im going to let my heart rule my head here, and go with the Favourite, Kilkenny Lonjack He should win this but i have doubts about the draw and because of that i am not suprised Hills are offering 2/1. I am convinced this dog is special and also suggest backing him outright at 12/1 with bet365. The first two qualify tonight and then its 1/4 odds 1,2,3 in the final. If i had to go against him tonight i would have chosen the consistent Seanis Strike

Update..... Me buddy won heat one where Kryptonite was eliminated. Toosey Blue and Westmead Lord were both eliminated in heat two after trouble at the first bend. Kilkenny Lonjack was second to Bower Keane in heat three but still qualifies for the final and could well end up second favourite.

Running total was +18.47
Tonights outlay was 8 points
Return was 3.25 points.
New running total is +13.72 points, plus anything Kilkenny Lonjack recovers in the final.
