This really is a sobering story of another forum. Who knows what the guidelines ever said, but it does show what can happen.

As bad as this place gets at times, we are angels by comparison. If I am reading things right, it means the police were considering charges

One of the better, more prominent posters on the Cardiff City message board is currently involved in a disciplinary in work because one of his MB 'rivals' reported him to the Chief Exec of the relevant branch of the Civil Service for going on the message board at work.

Tuesday was a sad day for this forum. I personally didn't read what was posted to cause a certain member(s) to take their leave.

I guess I'm lucky for that - it must have been really bad.

They say 'familiarity breeds contempt' and I reckon it got out of hand.

Time is a healer though, and this forum will be back on track in the not too distant future because there are newer members that will see to that.

The signs were there in recent times, a latent undercurrent of hostility.

I have been reading more and more of these stories in the last year. Including one football fan sued in court for slagging off the club chairman. There was also a young lady in court here recently accussed of harrassment via my space ect ect.

Oddly enough most of the regular posters have been here almost from the start. This tit for tat stuff spirals out of control. I am not p[ointing fingers its just how it is. The answer lies with individuals showing some restraint. I was recently moderated on another forum for telling a racist what I thought of him. So it happens to the best of us.....lol

You'd have to be a right numpty to go on a public forum like 'facebook' and slag off your boss.
