Monday 19th October

Just had a quick look at the 4.20 @ Plumpton

Scots Dragoon could land this if finding his best hurdles form after some disappointing chase efforts. 5/2 could be genorous as Henderson\McCoy are always popular when teaming up. Treasury Counsel looks the danger off a decent mark.

I would agree with you if I didn't think that Henderson's horses (what few of them we have seen so far this season) are not running up to their best. He had his first runner after his ban at Ludlow on Thursday. Ci Vediamo (well backed) came in last, having blown up 3 furlongs out. He had two runners at Cheltenham on Friday (Fairyland 3rd and Crystal Rock 0). I thought Fairyland looked poor in the parade ring and Crystal Rock never showed although he was 5/1 and could have been expected at least to be in the mix. His only runner on Saturday (Boomshakalaka) never did a tap.

I think we need to wait a while before looking at any of Henderson's. I agree that on paper Scots Dragoon looks good at those odds, but personally I'd hang on to my money! Still, I might be wrong......

Just had a glance through and found this one, Aestival, running in the handicap at 5.30 at Windsor over a mile and two furlongs. It has had three poor runs over 5f and 6f, eliciting comments such as 'Slowly into stride', 'outpaced', 'always in rear' and 'soon lost place'.

It can only come from one yard!

Currently trading as favourite and could quite easily win like one.

I had that aestival flagged up in my notebook too, will see what price it is later.

Also got fillwa and classically, but reckon they need a bit of ease underfoot to show their best.

Bonheurs art could be well handicapped going in the nursery too

two of interest for me today

Pont 5.10 Rescent - just got up over 7f LTO and now stepped up another furlong wich ought to suit even better. Nailed on for first 3 @ 15/2 WH

Plumpton 2.20 Fairmile - rated over 100 on the flat and ran in some top races - I really like trainer George Baker in this sphere and at 4/1 I am willing to take the chance that he can jump - surely that is all he will need to do!?
Templedog

Day off for me so a late ew Lucky 15 put on

4.00 Windsor Ordoney 9/2
2.20 Ponty The Confessor 10/1
4.40 Ponty Safebreaker 6/1
5.40 Gilt Edge Girl 4/1

One place so far.

glennie I was on Fairmile too, he made an error 3 out which I need to look at again but he wa staying on at the end and I think the winner may turn out to be half decent. He will improve for that run.
Gorg_George

4-10 Baan @ 11/2

It's a miracle that horse won. 2 better horses ballsed it up you should be very thankful, could probably of got 100/1+ in running.

...Or not.

16th out of 16, having gone off 9/4 favourite.

The write-up on the race says: slowly into stride and reminders after start, soon in mid-division, driven along and weakened 3f out, tailed off

I will keep an eye out, though, as Ingenue did exactly the same kind of thing for a run or two before sluicing up for Prescott.
bencar

I watched this race

am convinced we just saw the 2012 champion hurdle winner...
