Pie In The Sky - Issue Twentyfive - 10/07/08Its back to Sunderland for the final of the William Hill Classic at 9.45 The race really intrigues me, as there are a few points to consider. Firsly, Lenson Express is well drawn in trap one again, and could be away and gone. Secondly Me Buddy in trap three may well break fast but head for the rail. Thirdly, how will Kilkenny Lonjack fare from trap five, he needs to break well. Finally, Bower Keane in trap four put up the fastest time in the semis, a repeat of that would suffice, and i cant see why he is 10/1. I am really struggling to make a choice here, but the price of Kilkenny Lonjack with Hills tips it in his favour. This dog has some of the best trial times around but struggles to convert it to the tracks. I am still convinced he is special, and am at least expecting to collect for my E/w bet suggested last time.
Last years Classic winner Go Edie Honda runs in the 8.15, snap up the even money with Totesport. Include this in a treble with Lenson Joker in the 9.25 a decently priced 4/5 and Hes a Mystery in the 8.00 at 4/7 also with Totesport.
Lenson Joker only has Bubbly Totti ( formerly Droopys totti ) to beat. hes a Mystery is the banker of the day, even at 4/7. Go Edie Honda should be able to win as he breaks well and has a recent sub 16 second section over c/d. The longer trips these days seem to suit as well.
