Pie On The Sky- Issue Twenty Three - 24/6/08There hasnt been much Tuesday racing, so its fitting that the return to TV features the TV Trophy at Doncaster. The big race is at 9.45 over 868m and Flying Winner is deservedly favourite. Anyone wanting to back this should take the 8/15 with Stan james as he is as low as 4/9 with Ladbrokes.
In my last post i tipped up Droopys Obafemi in a heat of the Derby. He runs again in the 9.25 and the general price of 4/1 looks about right. Drawn in trap two he will go close at a decent price.
Glittering Aries in the 9.10 is way overpriced with Ladbrokes at 7/2. He is as low as 9/4 elsewhere and the 7/2 should be taken.
Head Iton Paddy should win the 8.35 and is a best priced 7/4 with Totesport and others, i dont expect this to be above 11/8 tonight.
Drink Up Zorro runs in the 8.15. Despite being drawn in four he may well hit the bend first. Not a confident selection but the 5/1 on offer with Corals makes it worthwhile.

Update..... 3 losers and a void race. Head Iton Paddy was leading but two dogs had collided earlier so the hare was rightly stopped.

Pie On The Sky - Issue TwentyFour - 1/7/08Another week another dollar, if only it was that easy. I have come close to some good wins here but sadly am running at a loss of just over a point an article ( hey nothings free ) The running total is -30.38 points.
Tonight sees us back at Belle Vue, and one household name makes an appearance at 9.25, the wonderful Barnfield On Air Barney noy has seemed out of sorts recently, although i didnt think he would be up to the hustle and bustle of the Derby, at least not at Wimbledon. The problem tonight is he is drawn in trap three and may not get a clear run. That said, Corals go 7/4 and that alone makes him some value, better drawn he would be odds on.
In the 9.45 another short price dog should be followed, Ballymac Weeshie Drawn in two and should be too good for these. Bet 365 offer 5/4 and anything above Evens is value.
Earlier on there are several short price dogs such as Killough Belles in the 7.40 Drive On Captain in the 8.35 and Shadiyad in the 8.50 the latter name really catches the eye at evens with Skybet
My final selection is Drink Up Zorro in the 8.00 generally 4/1 and at this sort of price i would back Zorro every time.
