The Explosion In Lap Dance Clubs!!!There everywhere...
I know they started to expand rapidly in this country about a decade ago but hasnt it got beyond a joke now ?
The reason i say this is because im staggered that one has just opened up in my little hometown...a mediam sized market town....
Its not somewhere where anyone goes for a night out unless your fairly local and from the area....more than 25 miles away and your heading to the local cities...
There are no stag dues and such that you get here.
No businessmen.
And whilst i wouldnt say its a really poor town its certainly not affluent.
The only business i can see is from men and lads out on a saturday night...the locals....but they havnt got the cash to be spending much in such a place regular...
I just dont see how they are going to keep doing business and stay open.
Especially at the moemnt and near future...surely this is the first type of business to suffer ? I cant see the one in my town lasting long when they charge london prices as well.
Im just staggered one has opened. Not because i have an issue with such a place but just because i cant see how they will do any business where i live. There are far too many of these places about now though.

i think the only decent thing you can do is visit as often as you can so they have a chance in these difficult times

i am very interested in the idea that
[a] your town has no businessmen....so no businesses at all?
[b] the number of businessmen is relevant (ie only "businessmen" as opposed to everyone else would go)

Some girls who work in these places are glorified prostitutes, in that they'll do the deed for the dollar. A lot of them are students just making easy money. I don't have a problem with these places but only ever been twice to an upmarket place in Leicester, very seedy though, some of the blokes in there were creepy, not really my cup of tea.

The Aviary, comparative to other strip-clubs in Leicester, like Stilletos which I was dragged to once but got out sharpish, what a horrible place, it's like Wembley.

I agree about them getting everywhere and in obscure places you wouldn't expect to see them
There are a couple that I've driven past before that you just look at and think, why? Who goes there around here.....weirdos probably!!
Surely council's have control over them, where they can and can't be opened.
Big city centre's in a designated locale e.g. soho. But on a little high street in the middle of hertfordshire, no thanks.

I don't see the problem myself. If they are not harming anybody and can get enough business then why object to it any more than any other business? Norwich Jobcentre got in the news once and caused a massive stir for advertising jobs at a trampling fetish club in a quaint little village outside Norwich. All Hell broke loose and over what? It's not as if people have to go in these places.

I don't want to seem naive, but what on earth is that (or is it too risque to describe on here??) I did wonder about

Jenny, apparently you are not the only one. I had a quick google and found this article which explains a bit more. It's basically a fetish for women walking on you.

Hi Jimbob
Probably because a lot of people see a lap dancing club as a place for dirty old men.
