The happiest woman in Greyhound racingMust be Westmeadhawk. I know she will have the delightful but envious task of picking a Westmead dog to win the following race. Article copied from RP Greyhounds.
Westmeads dominate Produce
Five ‘Westmead' greyhounds from two different litters, four trained by Nick Savva and the other by Pat Rosney, have made it through to tomorrow's £15,000 Swindon Produce final.
Savva landed a double in Wednesday's semis courtesy of Westmead Pal (29.00sec) and Westmead Osprey (28.52sec), but saw his own prefix beat him in the third when the Rosney-trained Westmead Zest outstayed Westmead Oriole in 28.95sec.
Ace, Pal and Zest are from a October 2006 litter by Toms The Best out of Mega Delight, while Oriole and Osprey hail from a November 2006 litter by Westmead Hawk out of Droopys Jean.
Tomorrow's field is completed by local runner Manic Miner, the oldest in the final as an April 2006 whelp by Droopys Vieri out of Flame Of Fortune.
*Draw: 1 Westmead Zest, 2 Westmead Pal,3 Westmead Osprey, 4 Westmead Oriole (w), 5 Westmead Ace (w), 6 Manic Miner (w).
Manic Milner by Droopys Vieri wins it for me.
