some people think it's trashy and get quite het up about it, but i think the tate modern is quite a cool place and is conveniently located for apres culture food and beers, with a nice view of the river.
hopefully tomorrow will be dry and crisp and you could have a look round in the afternoon and then grab a bite in one of the outdoor restaurants on the southbank as it gets dark before heading inside for a few beers. good times. |

www.thedaliuniverse.com Close by is Tate Modern, which is always cool. And not far away is The British Museum, they have a great exhibition on at the moment about Aztecs. Then tube up the Northern Line to Camden for a bit of alternative culture with the punks and hippies. Camden market is still pretty cool, plus you can get some good food! |

If youre a londoner you may have never done the orignal bus tour. If your a home based tourist you may have never done it thinking its tourist trash...
I did the full whack 4 hour tour a couple of years ago including the river trip and it was BRILLIANT... THe guides are people who really know there stuff and dont send you to sleep....they tend to be funny characters......mine was an old cockney chap.... Thats a good way to spend some hours....sit on the top deck...watch the world go by....have a beer and a sandwich..... Id recomend it to everyone. |
