Tsui says Hong Kong Cup and not BC...apparently, so a friend just told me.
They want to do one more race and Tsui would love to take him home to Hong Kong and not the Breeders Cup, he has been telling press.
Interesting curve ball!

Also give him more of a rest. I'd see no harm in doing both, though.

Hong Kong Cup will be about the 15th December..The Sunday around that date.
That is a very long season for the horse though even if he doesnt go to the states as well and has a rest. Doenst really sound a goer to me. I doubt Oxx or Kinane would go along with the HK Cup.
Theyd be better off giving the horse a nice long winter break (maybe after the BCC) and bringing him out next year. A light late summer warm up for an ARC and then Hong Kong cup tilt. Or maybe do that as well with a summer break beforehand after sending him to Hong Kong and Singapore in April/May.
Id love to see him campaingned for a crack at Sprinting early/mid summer as he wouldnt be disgraced and may well do the unthinkable. I think the July Cup is in his radar with the way he bolts and pulls from the gates. Look how he travelled in the Guineas and im sure he could have and can go faster.
This horse would be great for racing if he somehow as unlikely as it is did stay in training as a 4/5/6 year old.
Surely the loss of 3 years or so stud fees is no big issue to the super rich owners anyway.
Its not bad for the horse to race. Its what they like to do. Its just the concern with injury. But Oxx is a trainer who always looks out for his horses and its rare death does occur wiht flat horses on the track or in training.
