US PGAThoughts and views on best bets for this event

After his storming round on Sunday I fancy Lee Westwood to at least finish in the top 5.
Clearly length off the tee will be important so players like Cabrera & Quiros may be worth punting. Will try and pick out some value bets later when I can access some odds.
The market without Woods may well be the way forward again this week!!

After reading through the hole by hole explanations and where they have lengthened this course since 2002 I would say length is not going to be that Important off the Tee as the par 5's are the ones where alot of the length has been added and to me this means the long hitters will have no advantage at all and if anything may be even disadvantaged as they are that long that they will not even reach in 2 which makes them 3 shot greens giving the advantage more so to the accurate drivers and decent Iron players.
The only hole the long hitters may have some advantage is the 12th where they will be playing the higher Irons in compared to some who may have to take a 5 wood or low Iron.

The more you read about this course the harder it seems to get.
It sounds more like a US Open course than a PGA one.
It is going to be really difficult to find a player that is going to make the top 5/6 (woods aside) and for this reason I am going to try and take a safety route and look for some value in the Top 20 market, saying that i am surprised that Westwood is 11/4 for a Top 10 as apart from Woods he must be playing the best Golf.

Not necessarily a long hitters course so it does bring the likes of Clark,Stricker,Verplank & Weir into the equation.
Have "free" bets from Blue Square which I needed to use so have put on Woods @ 7/4 .Other than that will be looking for value in top 10/20 etc etc.
Initial other than Woods thoughts are Westwood & Mahan.
Will post picks by latest tomorrow morning.

Leftie is a great pick for this IMHO
He has beaten Woods in both majors they have played in this year, has the iron play needed for this course and is sneaking in under the radar
i will take him oughtright, both with and without Woods and top 10 to cover the other two bets

Have gone for Villegas, Westwood, Quiros & Molinari at varying stakes all in the market without Woods.

Tigers won already ,no he hasnt value seeker ,he is two clear going into the final round with Pad on his tail.
Well if you backed the Tiger with paddy power he was declared the winner at 3.25 pm on Saturday,it has cost the company £1.25 million ,it could be one gamble Paddy regrets as another Paddy could well upset the applecart.

oohhh paddy power what an own goal, surely even the publicity you get will not be worth the 1.25 millions loss ,but then again punters are fickle people maybe they will be eyeing your concessions up ,even more closer now

same as dones paying out on Man U in the league yers ago when they blew a lead to arsenal
if you work out the cost of advertising this is peanuts especially as its tax deductable.
the aura of invincibility woods had is shattered now, imho. that was his last killer stat and it has gone.

£84 went on Yang at 1000.0, must have been after the nightmare he had on his 2nd round when I think at one point was he not +4
