Weekend Naps CompI don't know if anyones noticed but the Naps Comp doesn't hold as much interest as it used to. There used to be 40+ entries now maybe 20
I was thinking about forgetting about it after Christmas but to be honest I don't really want to. It's become part of my Sunday routine! And it's a throw back to what I liked about the BBC board.
So I wondered if we should change it a bit.
...Maybe two choices over the weekend - bonus points for two winners?
...Maybe NAP and NB with two points staked on the NAP and one point on the NB?
I'd like to know what everyone thinks. And any suggestions more than welcome - small or huge changes.

Like the idea of two picks - but this gets a bit close to Lochsongs' Big Handicap compo. Do we know whether he's continuing with this into the Jumps season? It could go on forever if so.....I notice the last race was a jumps handicap, too!
Otherwise, am happy either way - I missed putting one up yesterday, I think, so better dash back and do so!

I think it is fine the way it is if you start having 2 selections it is then not a NAPS comp, i think comps like this are good even though i am awful at them and people tend to give up because they get a bit behind where as they should try harder(me included) to get that one winner over 3 days

Maybe introduce a bonus so if anone gets a nap three weeks running, the third one is triple the odds.

I think its fine the way it is. Like YY says its inevitable that numbers will fall when people get a long way behind. And maybe the start if the jumps will reinvigorate it again. Are you going to start from zero when the flat ends and declare a winner after the November handicap? That might help increase enthusuaism for those languishing at the bottom.

PS: Thanks for running it by the way, i have enjoyed participating.

Personally I'm happy with it as it is. But if it got changed to two picks or any of the other suggestions then I'd still enter.

I split the year into three when I first started doing the competiton on August Bank Holiday last year.
That way it fell to finishing at Christmas and on Grand National weekend and again before the August Bank Holiday.
We are just half way through this section - and the two at the top now have 75p between them which makes things interesting!
I haven't voted yet but I'm liking the "Alter it" option. Two picks gives twice the chance of picking winners which will make doing the scoring more interesting! There's no hurry to change anything until after Christmas though.
Thanks to everyone whose voted and commented so far
