Going to be tough going on the betting front in this, brand new course with only some of the players having more than one practise round.
From what i have read it seems to have wide fairways and large undulating greens so i guess accurate Iron players and decent putters are going to do well.

Just to point out both of these have had some tough schedules over the past few weeks and i also think they have both been avoiding the West coast because they do not like the surfaces there.
I have not done anyone yet but am going to be looking for the local boys and the players who play well in the desert conditions

Ogilvy(despite2008) and Stenson as outrights for me to start.

I think the winner of the Sam Snead bracket will come from either Match's 11 or 12 tomorrow so have gone for Justin Leonard as there are not many better with the Irons and he has got the putting game as well for a course like this.
If he can get past Romero & the winner of Stenson & Davis Love his odds are going to tumble because the rest of the bracket looks weak so took 120.0 fot the outright.

Got small each way stakes on Poulter & Mahan based purely (& probably foolishly) on their Ryder Cup form.

Got to lay the Tiger at 5s ,if he wins this i will beleive the Tiger can walk on water ,strange choice for him to make his return ,i will go for three outsiders all ew Donald 40s hills,Striker 55/1 tote and Goosen 66s who i reckon will play Tiger and hopefully beat him in the second round.

Had a dabble on Tim Clarke on Betfair at the beginning of the tournament and was hoping to lay off today at a decent profit. Can't believe he is still available at 23's, whilst McIlroy, who Clarke plays today, is 15's.........
Clarke hasn't yet dropped a shot and is at least 11 under for his two rounds, whilst McIlroy has had six bogeys and is currently around two under for the two rounds.
Where's the sense? Or more to the point, where's the value??

Great shout I have just traded out some of my Leonard top 4 finsh at just under evens having backed at 22.
If he beats Fisher I will look to trade some of my win bet off.

He has scraped through a couple of rounds now but yesterday was definately his best performance even though having to go to one extra hole, not sure wether Fisher can keep up his performance and to be fare Furyk never played that well yesterday so the score was probably exagerated a bit. Leonard does play these Desert courses pretty well and if he does come out and play like he did yesterday i expect him to win again.

In competitions like this(not that there are many) It really shows the advantage Betfair has over traditional bookmakers.
Even with Leonard going out and still having a green figure of App £405 on him i have now got all the players left for green of Just over £500 on each, I am not even going to bother to trade anymore and just let it ride out.
I hope you made a good profit Death n Taxes

Have Ogilvy at 25/1+ ew so have had a small "saver" on Casey to ensure more of a profit
