Its a joke, as soon as someone has a strong opinion it goes beyond the rules. I found the whole thread really good and both YY and Accajaca fighting there corner with no swearing or bad unsults.

Going to move this thread to Feedback in a bit
I'd like to hear what people think about this forum heirachy! Especially as most of you posting on this thread would seem to be high on the pecking order.
If there is a heirachy what can we do to get rid of it? Because if this place turns into the BBC I don't want to be anywhere near it!

I'd like to hear what people think about this forum heirachy!
I think by doing what has Just been done you really proved acca's point that by expressing an opinion like he did on the Heirachy It was clamped down on because some of those heirachy seemed maybe to get offended by that opinion so they use there authority/powers to do something that was not justified to do and that the majority of the board members would not agree with and after all this board is for the members not something for others to control.

Alan surely you can look at the comments whilst the thread is on the board still? No need to pull it to do it is there? - it's not as if it's a life and death situation!

These are the threads that make a forum interesting, a strong opinion and with it being pulled you may have taken the edge off of it. I saw no bad language or any personal insults.
You talk about the BBC forum, well it was a great forum at one point and went down hill partly because the decent threads got pulled and partly because it was joined by a bunch of idiots.
I hope the good threads are kept up for all to see, even if they go close to the edge.
Can I ask , how do you all come to a decision on removing a thread? Is it a majority decision or can it be just a moderator's own opinion that decides the outcome?

Owl, while removing it it stops it escalating. Thats why we do it. We also wait until a few of us have had a say, that is why it may take a while to return to the board. We only ever pull threads that seem to be getting personal, or have offensive content.

I moved the thread as while I was PMing someone then someone else was posting - it's easier to move the thread, then send a Pm, then edit a post and get it right rather than do it in a rush and cause more problems.
It was ages and ages ago that this last happened but if we delete somthing without having a record of it then it can cause more trouble than moving a thread for half and hour or so.
It's a shame but if we move a couple of posts off a thread we can't put them back properly again.

Interesting is one thing - but commenting on someone who hadn't even posted on the thread is another and discussion about the forum in general is better on Feedback.
The thread is back - It's not removed - Not sure if anything was ever returned on the Beeb?
Any mod/admin can move a thread - most of the time we do it is to get another opinion or give us some breathing space. Getting every mod's opinion can be difficult as we're rarely all here - and we try to make a decision as quickly as possible.

One other point David. Sometimes we get complaints from other users about thread content, obviously we keep this private. Its not been unusual to have a complaint about content, and being called tyrants, by the same person either.

Indeed David. When we move a post we have to first discuss it and see what we collectively feels needs doing. Then PM the people involved. Then edit the thread. Finally we are able to return it, so it all takes time.

it's a shame it's come to this level of pettiness but as ever questioning a member of the hierarchy of the board is not to be done, even if in a reasoned way discussing betting methods. i should have known better.
If you read it carefully, you will see he was refering to answering you. His concerns are due to some of the words you used in previous posts. The thread was moved due to some of the comments made by you and Acca. Fallons opinion wasnt hers alone either, as you know full well, we talk about whatever we do on the mods board before we act.

This is nonsense, and you know it. We have admitted we sometimes make mistakes. Mostly though, we try and follow the guidelines as closely as possible. Are you really suggesting we have nothing better to do than control what people say. Quite frankly I would rather spend time reading the boards, as would the other Mods.

What you mean straight after you had Insulted my Inteligence and knowledge by trying to make out you actually knew more than i did on Kasbah Bliss's form because i had only spoke about relevant form in the thought that no one would actually bring up Irelevant form which unfortunatly you did.

No I am not kidding i said something about Kasbah Bliss's form and you came back quoting some Irelevant form which i said everyone would be laughing at which i stick by because the form you brought up as i explained at the time was so Irelevant that it was pointless me refering to even though anyone would have known about it.
I doubt another user would have put what you did that is why it was laughable wether you agree with that or not it is how i saw it.

I've not got time to get into this - got to get to work which is so much easier than this place! 
Just for the record - I removed two paragraphs from accajacca and one from Yaiyam. The rest of the two posts are still on the thread which is back on the Racing Forum. I cannot see that what I have deleted detracts from the interest of the debate - as the deleted comments did not refer to the debate.

This is my fault and Alan should not be taking the flack for it.
We had decided yesterday evening that we would not go to the time and effort of deleting all the personal comments in it. I wanted to tie up a few loose ends before making this clear to everyone and it was quite late last night before that was done and I completely forgot to update this.
The only reason that I am going to the effort of posting this in detail is because some people who were able to debate on the thread without resorting to personal comments deserve a proper explanation.
Hopefully you know who you were and apologies to you.
