World Football bettingI sometimes get frustrated as there doesn't appear to be a bookie and/or exchange that bets on leagues that I want to bet on. I'm not talking about obscure sunday league village football. Obviously if Ladbrokes started offering odds on the Royal Oak vs The Kings head it is open to a ridiculous amount of corruption and Bet365 go quite a way down into the Non league so no arguments there. But leagues such as the Hong Kong League and the Lithuanian League. Around Norwich there are loads of Lithuanians around. So much so that there is even a Lithuanian shop(where you can get some cracking beer by the way). Surely there is a gap in the market as some of these people(and people like myself who don't care what countries league they are betting on if it is a good bet) would want to back their team to win. or bet on a league they atre familiar with?
There has obviously been a large Chinese community in this country for some time and a lot of them are gambling mad so I refuse to believe there is no interest in leagues such as these. Why do bookies not offer odds

If you have a BET365 account get in contact with them and say you are interested in betting in these leagues there odds compilers may then put up odds and if they keep getting enough interest they will keep doing it if they do not they will ditch it.
All the scandinavian countries are big gamblers on football this is why you see norway group 27 etc becuase they have people betting on it.
Most of the Asian countries use the Asain hcp betting method when they place bets so is a little different.
What you also have to remember Jimbob they are only going to give odds on leagues where the odds compilers know something about them so maybe they just do not have anyone who knows about the Hong Kong league

Cheers Yaiyam, I may well give them a call then! They are the only bookie I know of that offer odds of the Singapore League and that is pretty good for betting on

I think one reason they are reluctant to have a market, is many of these leagues were fixed by gambling syndicates.

Jimbob, I don't know much about the World football stuff (apart from the fact that some of the Lithuanian teams are worth keeping an eye on), but the above is also one of the reasons why there are no bookies online (or in shops) who offer odds on point to point!

No Archie I never bet on reserve team football but may start looking into it now you've mentioned it. The Unibond is a pretty good league to bet on!
